Water Water Water


Well this has been fun, but time for the last entry. Today I will just keep it simple. Lets
talk about water and what huge importance it carries in your diet. First to understand
why water is important let me show you how much of our body is actually made up of water:
·      Muscle consists of 75% water
·      Brain consists of 90% of water
·      Bone consists of 22% of water
·      Blood consists of 83% water

Now understanding how much our body is actually made up of water it might help you realize why it is so important. Here are some other simple reasons why water is so important:
-       Helps you lose weight
-       Helps decrease muscle pains, or the way your body heals from injury
-       Increases skin glow, and reduces acne, or blemishes
-       Natural remedy for headaches
-       Great amounts of energy
-       Helps digestion
-       Less like to get sick
-       Helps flush our toxins daily
-       Creates natural endorphins (happy hormones)
-       Speeds up metabolism
-       Zero Calories  

No I understand that it can be hard to always drink water, some water has an iron taste, and sometime it just gets old tasting. So try this. Try adding fruit, or root vegetables’ to your water. I know it sounds crazy but not only does it change the taste to something delicious, but then you are also getting the nutrients from the fruit or root vegetable you put in there.  My personal favorite is lemon, and cucumbers. Also if your daring try mint leaves, or basil. Like I said I know it all sounds funny, but it really does change that way you look at water, and helps you to stay healthy and always hydrated 

See water, can be fun a delicious, who knew! 
Just be simple put fruit in your Ice cubes! YUM!

Lets be RAW


So many of us get overwhelmed when we think of the words “Raw Diet “. But today I am here to help you understand some of the importance of these words and how to simple incorporate “Raw Foods” into your everyday life.

First lets start by understanding what RAW means. A lot of people get nervous when they hear this, but this word is simpler then you think. Raw simply means “unprocessed and uncooked”. Some examples of raw foods are all raw fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, sprouts, roots, root vegetables and squashes, fresh herbs, raw spices, and seaweeds.

 Why is this important in a diet? As soon as you cook your food (anything over 115 degrees) and add things to it, it takes away its nutritional value and eliminates certain minerals and vitamins that you need.  Some other benefits to a raw diet are Increased energy, clearer skin, weight loss, reduced risk of disease. This is because raw food contains fewer trans fats and saturated fat. Raw foods are also low in sodium and sugar and high in potassium, magnesium, folate, fiber, vitamin A, and health-promoting antioxidants. These properties are associated with a reduced risk of diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

So next time you make a meal try adding one raw food item and watch as you become more energized and feeling you absolute best.

Lose the Bloat Detox

We all know that Spring Break is just around the corner and we all want to be beach body ready, but have been slacking on our work outs. Well don’t worry because this next thing will help you lose up to 5-7 pounds in water weight, and majorly reduce bloating.


This detox is super simple and doesn’t include changing any of your current diet practices.

Here we go!  (This is one day worth of ingredients’)
-       Get 60 ounces of distilled or purified water
-       1 tablespoon of sugar-free cranberry juice (easy to find at local grocery stores)
-       1 dandelion root tea bag. (Sound exotic, but again easy to find in local grocery stores)

-       2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. (if you want to save money on lemons, buy two lemon and juice them both right a away when you get home,  cover the juice and put this on the top self of your refrigerator. 

FACT: did you know that the Top shelf of your refrigerator is the cleanest and carries the least amount of bacteria. YEP! True Fact!
-       Mix all of this together and drink this mixture throughout your day.
-       Do this for 7 days making a new mixture each morning.


This Detox helps you to flush out all of your extra water weight that you have been carrying and completely reduce bloating!  Watch your waist shirk as you can lose up to 5-7 ponds in simply a week.
